Just a quick comment, unrelated to Pam's post but apropos the "Wine of the Gods" universe: Today is the 110th anniversary of the Tunguska event.

Yep, all the places that thing could have hit . . . really lets me image alternate histories for no-longer-parallel worlds.

is there anyplace still posted where the multi-author prequel to the Rift stories is available? I know Pam said she couldn't publish it, but I thought it had been posted. Didn't find it when I briefly looked (guess I don't know what keywords to use.)

Let me stick it up as a google doc.

Free books
I have all the books you have published and I could find on Amazon. If there are any more, I'd be happy to give them a good home. I'm also anxiously awaiting whatever NEW books you're going to offer in the next couple of months. Right now, I'm resorting to re-reading books, including the entire Directorate series to date.

Re: Free books
Did you find the four YAs I wrote as "Zoey Ivers?" I'd hate to have you miss them! :D

Re: Free books
Thanks to a 3-month special on Kindle Unlimited I have now read them all. I hope there was a UK uptick in your income.

I was amused at the reused scenes in Demigod.

Re: Free books
Actually those were all swiped from a never-published fantasy, back when I had no confidence in my ability to write more fight scenes. But I still ought to have customized them a bit more.

Okay, I went back and started rereading Outcasts and Gods. Along in there, Wolfgang picks up a colony of intelligent rats and sticks them in a bubble (when they raid the lab). Now, I don’t remember... did he plant them somewhere? A planet of their own, perhaps? Or does he still have them in a bubble, waiting for the right time? Just wondering...

Still Schrodinger's Rats. Sort of like Oscar and Bran.

For some reason, Xen freeing the intelligent lab rats and planting them on their very own planet seems like a possibility to me... Sure, they didn't notice the time passing, but...
