Poor Jackson, left in the coils of a snake for _days_! Honest, Tex'll get him out. I'll get back to writing real soon now.

Maybe he is comfortable snuggling up with the snake for days and days. Or perhaps not.

The snake wrapped around him, and started to squeeze. Then it suddenly relaxed, and the head pulled back. The golden eyes stared at him.

Its mouth opened, and it hissed, "You're biological! You... you are a biological entity!"

Jackson shook his head. "Yeah... I mean, yes. What did you think?"

The snake wobbled. The eyes turned into pixelated patterns for a moment, then flicked back into golden orbs. "Wait right here. I need to do some research."

The eyelids closed, and the snake hung loosely around him. But it didn't let him go, and even gentle movements made the body tighten, so he relaxed and waited. Surely the snake, or whatever was behind it, would be back soon?
