WINE OF THE GODS SERIES
Genetic engineering enabled psychic abilities in the test children. And the ability to control the machinery to open portals between parallel Earths. But prejudice turned into exile, and the escape of the most powerfully "magical."
YA by ZOEY IVERS
A world without sleep, and a lot of unexpected consequences--the Barton Street Gym and Chicago.
Demi God A YA fantasy. When even the Gods are corrupt, how can a bunch of kids save a young prince?
OTHER NOVELS
Fancy Free Artificial personalities are illegal. Destroyed whenever found.
The Lawyers of Mars A spoof on lawyers--cold-blooded and scaly--that got a bit out of control
I tried to end the story with Rael saying she really would have killed him, and him replying that he had no confidence in that, but it just came out too contrived.
I think it's more "What will catch your eye and hint at what is inside" especially in a little tiny version of the cover? So, a person pulling a gun is actually a scene from the story, and makes you wonder why is she pulling a gun, and what is going to happen, right?
An exploding spaceship or a dragon in the background would signal sf or fantasy, but... doesn't really fit the story.
Hum... layer three different colored galaxy swirls (representing the branes) and have that as a series logo? Stick it in the corner or someplace? You could add it to the others from time to time?
Sorry, I'm just brainstorming. Hope some of it is helpful.
I'm fiddling with it. At some point the series name will just have to attract regulars, and . . . well, as far as I can tell random people rarely grab a mid-series book and start there.
