Next few weeks

I'll be in Californai for several weeks. My father passed away yesterday. Not unexpected, but . . .

So I'm not in a mental/emotional state where you want me actually writing, even assuming I'll have the time for a while.

As I remember, I'll post bits of _The Last Merge_, most of which will be repeats for some of you. But there's a bit of raw new stuff and reshuffling to get a coherant story together for publishing. If that's possible. This may be a case of "best to scrap it and start over" but that's not something I can judge just now. So don't get too attached to it.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
I know how you feel.
Unexpected or not, loosing a close person always hurts.

I wish you and your family find comfort during this difficult time.

So I'll ask a fairly mindless question. What was the timing of the writing of "outlaws?" I'm curious if it was before or after you completed any of your Wine of the Gods stories.

I have to say that this is, while obviously not finished, in better shape than at least 3 published novels I've read this week. Is there any real chance of getting agreement amongst the various authors to actually publish something?

I had the wine of the Gods in mind, but nothing written.

But since I can't find all the people who did the actual writing, specifically Charles Richardson who wrote all the early Chuck Woods parts, inventing the character, I really cannot publish it.

Please accept my condolences. My Father died eleven years ago, the last of his generation of my kin, and I still want to tell him things.

I'm truely sorry to hear that. I'll keep you in mind to the dietary of my choice.
