Back here _again_!
Yep. All done.

So, when I get home, I'll polish up _On The Run_ and _God of the Sun_.

Then the first major rewrite and expansion of _Cannibal World_.

Then _Trouble in Paradise_, _First Assigments_, Surveillance Camp_, and _Fort Dinosaur_.

And while I'm editing and publishing all of them, I'll be working on _The Last Merge_ to finish off the Cannibal stuff.

Entertaining you guys might be a bit tough for awhile.

hey its a holiday (at least around here, thanksgiving lasts until whenever, but always through the weekend.

I know you needed to escape nanowrimo, but life happens. relax, eat some more pie, take the dog for a walk. Only after all that can you get back to

I'm minded of Lois's comment when we asked for the next one on the day after the current one got released - "you understand that took me a year to write?"

So, obligatory question: If an "accident" happened, and an occupied bubble was drifting free of an attachment, how well could it be detected?

. . . And would it be likely to attach to a world, or would it act exactly like every other bubble, and give someone a shock when they grabbed it and opened it?

NaNoWriMo wasn't the problem. I'm in California to stay with my parents with my Dad post-op and finding them both in worse shape than when I was last here.

Suggestions of nursing homes . . . have not been taken AT ALL well. I don't write well under stress. Or short on sleep (up with various parental issues at least once every night.)

I can't wait to get home, and I know I'll feel very guilty leaving them.

This is why we ended up living with my folks, also not a bed of roses. (At least they left Los Angelos in '85! Idaho is far more pleasant.) There are no good solutions, and it's all guessing if you picked the least bad for this moment in time.
You are doing the best you can with the options available. If your folks are anything like mine (silents) they narrowed the options behind your back ages ago, and now you're operating within constraints they chose back when you were in diapers.

If you are terribly concerned about amusing this crowd, upload your genetics reference sheet again and we'll amuse ourselves from there. Wild speculation and rebuttals should hold us at least a week.

I see an oppertunity for an Eldon-bubble surprise. Who idolizes Answer these days? Um, Saturday Night timeframe, I should say? Oh, can Dragons see bubbles? One of Agate's kids, maybe?

Did I ever mention that Mayor Agate took her children to Asia, then asked for a gate to an Empty World? What sort of civilization would they make in their new world? What sort of culture?

Now everyone speculate wildly and maybe I'll come up with something tomorrow.
