So now what?
No new material . . . and you guys are much too nice to inflict any really old stuff on . . .

Are you looking for stories we'd like to see?

How about the one where Rael figures out that Xen believes he can't have a happy relationship because God of Spies, and what she does? It's Rael, she doesn't know how to not do something, after all, whether it's hug him, kick his butt, tell the worlds they have kids so as to kick the collective subconcious into seeing their relationship as co-parents rather than doomed lovers . . .

I'd also like a Wolf/Rustle short with them godding it together, someday, when you have spare time.

Whatever happened to Jaime, and Mogan dropped a tantilizing hint about Purple world in that one we just proofed?

Or give us old stuff. That's fine with me. It's interesting to see the differences in your writing over time.

Perhaps the old old version and the final one too so we can admire the improvement ?

I'm currently editing _The Black Goats to reduce the "Eww! Ick!" factor. I was thinking of putting it up as a Google doc when I'm done.

Once I get Cascades up, I'll start seriously working over Embassy. It would be nice to get it out in April. _Then_ I can put up the two Rael stories and Directorate School.

URK! Guess it's time to put Cascades up . . .

I have kind of mixed feelings about that, because The Black Goats is the only book I can think of where the author really took the virginity is magically valuable trope to the natural ugly conclusion. Well, good luck with the editing.

Oh, I'm just eliding over the details of the various goat rampages, dropping some of them altogether, if they weren't really necessary for the plot.

Tough. I don't have to delete my old copy, and I'll just enjoy it the way I first read it.

On a different note, I was just thinking about a standard starting point. Maybe you could write a description of the whole premise of the series, that gives some of the essential details from the books early in the sequence. Then, post that somewhere on your site, and put a reference into the beginning of all the later books - something like "if you feel you're jumping into the middle of a story, you can find a summary of what has happened before *here* " Then you wouldn't need to put as much recap into the beginning of new stories.

I'm planning on that for the Directorate based stories, and half wondering if I ought to call it a different series.

I've had a lot of readers stop dead at BG, which is the main reason I'm modifying it. There's 21 more titles I want them to click on.

That's a valid point, and a reinforcement of the need for a "what's happened before".

Maybe you could put up something that is, in effect, "The Black Goats - the Children's version". Or maybe tell the same information by having a parent tell the story to a child, with all the need for moderation.

I'm not changing _that_ much. Honest guys!
