Was this supposed to be before or after the general "breakout" from prison where Eldon and company went on the run? I'm trying to remember which characters ended up creating gates during the Eldon stories, and I think at least one of the girls mentioned ends up joining the gang.

There are so many side threads that branch off this that it's hard to keep track sometimes. On other similar stories, you've managed to cover many of the threads by telling separate stories from a different viewpoint. I hope you manage to do that with these interlocked stories of the gang and the posse that hunts for them. I'm still trying to picture the info you think needs to be provided before you publish some of the One World stories. I'm not sure if you've showed us all of it, if there are more stories, or if it's only some expanded detail on existing stories.

Convincing an elder that they need to do something they don't want to do, and don't think they need to do, is a seemingly endless task. Hope your father is doing better.

You know, if you really need a serious backup, you could put the whole thing on my computer, and ....

Yes, I've pulled everything apart into what will be four stories. This one concentrating on the witches and the kidnapping. _Beauty and the Thief_ will be about Leanna taking over the Beauty shop, and Kevi figuring out how to be the God of Thieves. That ends with him stealing and then leaving a whole bunch of magic potions with Easterly's country trash family.

The other stories, not sure which order they'll be in, starts with Captain/Prince Garit getting dosed with a combination of potions while he's out in the field chasing down the bandits using the corridors to escape. The other story is all about Easterly's family.

_Then_ I'll finally get to _Embassy_ the story where Xen, Q, and Garit form Disco, Rior gets together with the Black Island gang and they release the prisoners, including Eldon, and start their cross dimensional crime spree.

_Then_ having established Disco, I can start finalizing and publishing the Directorate School stories. Hopefully I'll get it all out this year.

Light inside a bubble?
Finally managed to retrieve from memory what I thought about last week.

If you put people inside a fast-time bubble, what happens to light? All previous instances I've seen involve advanced magicians using a fast bubble to sleep a long time - come out for food, no light required. Here, you're putting lots of people inside a house. You mention food, and I suppose that everything is done with magical light instead of something requiring fuel, but you haven't mentioned it before. Also cooking? I *think* Harry's Tavern runs on fueled stoves.

outside light coming through the bubble should badly red-shift, to the point that it's not usable for human vision. Light generated inside the bubble should work (and should be really blue-shifted if it goes out through bubble?) You're not going to keep growing kids healthy without lots of light to run around and play.

If you haven't already thought about it, maybe just add a throwaway line about lamp oil or magic lights to the one about needing lots of food.

also, are bubbles water-proof? Absent time-induced variance, will water leak through bubble? or Air?

Re: Light inside a bubble?
The bubbles are permeable to air and water. Possibly smaller particles, virii. Or more properly, small particles can be shifted from normal world to bubble when they are in close proximity. Energy--light--does not shift. Otherwise the bubbles would be visible, and whatever was inside would be fried.

There may be some leakage, and no doubt the Oner scientists are trying to find some way to detect them.

Re: Light inside a bubble?
I've had Ra'd's family, with flashlights, Eldon in his car would have light, and yes, there will be light, probably lanterns and candles in the Black Island Fast House. Good point about the need for sunlight. I'll ponder, and possibly even research, how much and how frequently well nourished children need UV exposure.

IIRC, I had them spending a week at a time inside, which was roughly a minute on the outside.

** Editing ** Meh. Brain dead here. Right, the _Fast Houses_ are 20 to 1. A week inside is 8 hours outside. So if they're inside every night, they'd get one day in the sunlight out of every eight days.
