You Quit?
Does that mean you're not posting anything here anymore or are you just giving the WOTG series a break? What about Barton Street and the Lawyers?

Re: You Quit?
Taking a break from the series.

This summer I'm going to finish a story and publish a Barton Street collection. Figure out how to improve the Time Travel novel, and hopefully get that out as well. And then there's the werewolf . . .

At some point I'll pick up and write Xen's part of _The Last Merge_ and merge the three parts.

I'll post things here, as I go. Unless I move to another site. LJ having been bought by a Russian company and moved to servers over there, it's now operating under a new legal system and rules.

RE: Re: You Quit?
Yeah, you may need to move. Russia doesn't do Freedom of Speech.

I'm looking forward to more Lawyers and my kids want more Barton Street.

Wait, by Time Travel, is that Lawyers or is that the other time travel one? Both please? Any chance of anything in the Fancy Free verse? Would love to see more Beowolf.

Re: You Quit?
I probably ought to finish the rewrite on Twin cities and kick the Doors collection out the door.

The Time Travel story I'm planning on doing this summer is "Doctor Storm fails to save the world over and over." But I need to graph it out and think about what rules I want to place on time traveling.

The Martians . . . I'm so far out of that world, but I really ought to finish saving the Martians.

Fancy and Beowolf lack a problem to solve. Until they decide what to do, nothing is going to get written.

Since I'm not getting anywhere with Nick, I'll put up a few chapters of the werewolf story. Which I may have already done.

RE: Re: You Quit?
Do you want suggestions? Because I can think of a couple ideas for Fancy and Beowolf . . .

Re: You Quit?
Speculate away, I'm brain dead today, but it might spark something tomorrow.

If I do move, it'll be to https://pamuphoff.com/ which I've used a static site, to date.

I've just stripped it down, and put up the links list. I don't know if it'll be more or less useful than LJ.

pain. Hope your break generates some hybrid energy. You've got enough credit in the storyline that I'll look at most anything you write. Might not follow you into the romance part, but you still might be able to put enough other details in to moderate it (for me at least). Except if you commit zombie. Ain't gonna go there, the market is *way* over-saturated with everyone's zombies.

I meant to comment earlier in the week, but a conversation at NorWesCon40 over the weekend generated some questions (about witches, so CometFall...)

1. If a witch presented herself as a serious lesbian, would that sexual encounter be enough to generate the "loss of virginity" boost?

2. If a magical person who thought they'd never have children, and had never managed the virginity loss, had an egg taken to provide to someone else, would that child's grasp of power still provide the boost to the egg-mother? And if so, would that end up covering the effect of the loss of virginity?

In other words, do the later boosts end up duplicating the effect of the earlier (missed) boost?

And finally, if you end up moving to another blogging site, please make sure you announce where it is, so we can follow if we miss a few days.

I am writing an Urban Fantasy, not a Paranormal Romance. In fact Stone is horrified by what he is finding out about his genetic relatives and not about to risk passing on these traits. With luck, my Muse won't be feeling frisky.

As to WOTG's magic . . . The major tiers of maturity provide solid kicks and abrupt jumps in ability. Without the kicks, the abilities develop slower and more gradually.

Donating an egg would have about the same affect on a witch as fatherhood confers on a male magician of any sort. This effect is shown with Rael and Raod. Rael got a minor boost when she first touched her children. Raod got a major boost from the birth process, even though she was not the genetic mother.

Yes, any sex (Okay, not the current feminists version!!!) call it any actual penetrative sex, works. I may have inferred somewhere that both first hetero and homosexual encounters provide a kick. So one of each, for those so inclined, or forced.

Please note that this doesn't increase the magician's maximum potential, just hastens its development.
